Sign Up and Verify Your PayWay Wallet
Sign Up
1. Open the PayWay Wallet app. At the bottom, tap Sign Up if you don’t have an account.
2. Enter your mobile number in international format (e.g., 2567XXXXXXX for Uganda) and tap Next.
3. You will receive an SMS with a confirmation code. Enter the code on the next screen and tap Next.
Note: You have up to five attempts to enter the correct code.
4. Upon successful entry, you will see the terms and conditions agreement. Tick the box to accept and tap Next.
5. You’ll be asked to sign using your finger. Sign on the screen, then tap Save to proceed.
Verification with Third-Party Validator
1. After signing, you will be redirected to a third-party validator.
2. Choose your issuing country and select an accepted document type (e.g., Driver's License, National ID, or Passport for Uganda).
3. Allow camera access on your device to proceed.
4. Capture and upload the front side of your document, then submit. Repeat for the back side of the document and submit.
5. Next, you’ll be asked to take a selfie and follow specific instructions.
6. You will then be prompted to record a video. Tap Record Video and allow microphone access on your device.
